A Norwegian and a Portuguese get married in Stockholm
When I first email with Pedro I knew I was going to like him and his fiance Kristin, and I wasn’t wrong. They had decided to come to Stockholm to get married at the Norwegian Embassy and then have some Wedding Portraits taken around the city centre. We chose Skeppsholmen because of the fantastic view of the Palace on Gamla Stan and because it was a great halfway point between the Embassy and their hotel where they would be having their Wedding Reception.
As soon as they arrived I’d felt like I’d known them for longer than just a few emails and they were SO fun to work with! They had read my website and studied my work and were thrilled that we seemed to be on the same wavelength when it came to having some fun during photo shoots. I always think to myself, couples that play silly together stay together and that certainly is true, I think. Kristin and Pedro are the kind of couple who are a bit of a dream to work with, fun, spontaneous, willing to go that tiny extra step for the shot and when it came time to say goodbye, I actually didn’t want our session to end.
It was supposed to rain right throughout the whole day and I had prepared for the worst of weather. Umbrellas. Gum boots. Lights. But we ended up getting lucky and the rain stopped just as we started our session and didn’t start again until they were safely in their cab on the way to their Reception. It was perfect timing. We even got a little slice of sunshine towards the end. Thanks for choosing me, guys. It was a pleasure to work with you.
