Photoshoot clothing ideas:
Here at Cherrie Coutts Photography, one of the most common questions I get from clients is what to wear on a photoshoot. Normally, I would send a descriptive email explaining photoshoot clothing ideas, but as I am a visual person I thought it best to actually create a visual guide for people to take in.
Spring is a very colourful time, and even in the city there can be many locations where Spring is in full bloom. The Cherry Blossom trees in Stockholm’s Kungsträdgården is an excellent place for a Spring Photoshoot, but it usually only lasts for a few weeks before all the flowers float away. And even though you might have been at this venue before, you can see that photoshoot clothing ideas don’t have to be the same just because the venue is.
I always ask couples to try and match each other a little bit, or even better, try and match the location of their photoshoot to some extent. This isn’t to say you need to go and dress like a pink flower to match a cherry blossom, but being aware of colours can be very beneficial. And not just the colours of your surroundings, but each other’s colours as well.
Weather you’re a fan of Pumps or of Converse, it all works as long as it’s your style. You don’t need to go out and buy a special outfit for the occasion at all, but some couples definitely like to do just that. Either way, paying attention to complimenting colours and textures actually helps you to compliment each other and create a really great matching….. but not TOO matching…. set of outfits.
Below you can see some Photoshoot clothing ideas that have worked really well for some of my couples during Spring. As you can see, some couples chose to be very formal, while others opted for a more casual approach, but in each case, they are either matching each other or their surroundings or even both.
