Second Shooter: Angelika & Johnnie’s Wedding

It’s nice to be involved with a couple’s love story, especially from the beginning of their Engagement. I was second shooter to Terri Lindholm of Lindolm Photography at Angelika and Johnnie’s engagement shoot in Gamla Stan a couple of months ago and over the weekend I had the privilege of being there when they said their vows to each other as well.
Set in the beautiful surroundings at Knvista Noors Slott just 50 minutes north of Stockholm, Angelika & Johnnie and their closest friends and family gathered together to witness their momentous occasion under the trees in the castle’s garden grounds. I had the duty of documenting Johnnie’s preparation shots and as he gathered himself together we chatted about how he was nervous and excited at the same time and couldn’t wait to see his beautiful bride.
When the first look came around and Johnnie and Angelika saw each other in their bridal clothing for the first time they both welled up with tears, which had both Terri and I all teary as well. You can see Terri’s blog and her amazing shots of their wedding HERE.
I don’t think I’d ever been at a wedding where so many people were involved in the ceremony and when I witnessed Angelika’s son play trumpet and accompanied by guitar as his Mother walked down the isle it was all I could do to not feel emotional. Not only that, during one of the songs played during their ceremony many guests stood up to sing parts of the song solo, which was truly a great gift to Angelika and Johnnie. It was these same guests that we would hear rocking it out while we stole the newlyweds for their portrait session.
Angelika and Johnnie, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day and a huge thanks to Terri Lindholm for asking me to be your second shooter.
