Family Maternity Photography in Stockholm
It’s not every day that you get a text message from someone asking if you’re available for a Photo shoot that same afternoon! Thankfully, the weather was set to be okay and I actually was available so it didn’t take long to set up a time for the afternoon. We had hope for a great sunset but it ended up turning a little cold, which only slightly changed the mood of the photos.
Emma and her daughter Lily, whom I previously photographed about 5 years ago when Lily was just a baby were now expecting a new family member that Sunday. So the urgency of the message when it came to me on the Thursday suddenly all made sense. I couldn’t believe how tall and smart and beautiful Lily had grown and it was such a joy to the little person she had become after so many years.
I went out to Ekero (Ekero) in Stockholm a few hours after the message and we headed down to the waterfront for some photos in a gorgeous tree lined alley and on a little jetty with a beautiful view towards the city. The water out there had frozen over a little but the sun actually played its part for a little while and gave us some lovely warmth in the images.
Not just a few days later, little Indira made an appearance, only a few days late and made a family of 3 a family of 4. Here are some of the images from that shoot. I really hope to meet little Indira, soon and see what a proud big sister Lily is and I’m sure Emma is just beaming with her new bundle of joy.

Thank you. I love it too. Emma is a Yoga teacher and very into India, hence the name Indira. So the blue door was perfect for them. 🙂
