Wedding in Stockholm at Julita Gård
It was an amazingly wet day for a wedding in Stockholm! This past weekend has been quite a rainy one here in Sweden and even though this beautiful Kiwi-Swedish couple were hoping it wouldn’t, it rained like hell on their wedding day. Their wedding in Stockholm was held at Julita Gard, which is an open air museum near a town called Eskilstuna. Usually, museums stay open until about 5 o’clock and attract hundreds of people in good weather. Thankfully, due to the rain, those numbers dwindled down to a handful, which allowed Fiona, Andreas and me free-range of the grounds. So this meant hardly any people around to be in the background of the photos.
As a backup, Fiona and Andreas had hired a tent and were still able to have their outdoor wedding. I know that a lot of the Kiwi and Australian guests found it a little chilly at just 13°C but overall it was quite a nice day even with the rain. Not too hot and not too cold. Plus, rainy days can make for some extremely beautiful light! Enjoy this sneak peek from their wedding in Stockholm. I look forward to sharing their whole wedding at a later date.
